The service
freelancer·tools is a CRM and money toolkit for freelancers: clients and pipeline, quotes and invoices, UPI collection, payment records and reports. It is free to use. It is planned to be supported by ads, which will never appear on pages your clients see. It is young software that changes fast and may have rough edges; we fix what breaks as quickly as we can.
Your account
You sign in with Google or GitHub, and your email address is your identity: whichever provider you use, the same email opens the same workspace. You are responsible for keeping access to that email and provider account. One person per account; the product is built for individuals running their own work, and you must be an adult to use it.
Your data and your documents
Everything you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the product for you. You can export all of it as CSV whenever you want, and leave whenever you want. The invoices and quotes you create are your documents: their accuracy, their numbering choices, and your GST and income-tax compliance remain your responsibility.
Not tax advice
The app shows tax-related information — a GST threshold meter, TDS records, financial-year totals — to help you keep track. These are calculations over your own data, not professional advice. Thresholds and rates change with budgets and vary by state and category; confirm decisions with a chartered accountant.
Payments between you and your clients
UPI payments go directly from your client to your UPI ID. We never hold, route, or take a cut of that money, and we are not a party to the contract between you and your client. Marking an invoice paid records your money; it does not move it.
Fair use
Free means generous, not unlimited: uploads, imports and email sending carry sensible caps so the service stays fast and free for everyone. Do not use the product to send spam, to invoice for unlawful work, or to attack the service or other users. We may suspend accounts that do, and will say why.
Third-party connections
Connecting Google Calendar or signing in with a provider is governed by their terms too. Disconnecting is always available in Settings.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided as-is, without warranties, and free of charge. To the maximum extent Indian law permits, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Keep your own exports — the button is right there.
Leaving, and changes to these terms
Stop using the service whenever you like; export first, then email us to delete your account. We may update these terms as the product grows; the date above moves with every change, and material changes will be announced in the app first. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
